5. Length & Diameter Selection Principles

• Thread engagement should be 2.5–3 times the screw diameter.
  Example: M5 → recommended engagement of 12–15 mm.

• For thin sheet metal: choose a smaller diameter + fully threaded.

• For high-load structures: select a larger diameter + partial thread + high-strength material.
