High-Flatness Installation
90° countersunk head sits nearly flush with the surface, saving space and providing a clean finish.

DIN 964 is a mechanical screw that combines unique aesthetics with functionality. It features a slotted (flat-head) drive design and a semi-countersunk (countersunk with a rounded crown) head. During installation, its 90° tapered fastening surface fully sinks into the pre-drilled hole in the workpiece, ensuring a flush connection surface, while the slightly convex arched surface at the top remains exposed. This effectively prevents snagging from sharp edges and provides an excellent visual finish.
This product is widely used in precision machinery, high-end hardware, and electrical control applications where appearance requirements are stringent, load conditions are moderate, and frequent disassembly is required.
Currently, in the international standardization process, this standard has been officially superseded by DIN EN ISO 2010 (current version: ISO 2010:2011).
